I have some really cool family and/or friends.
But it appears they will stay anon for now.
The kids got a box from one of my favorite places on the planet.. a place that I have not been in 9 years… The American Science and surplus center.
They received a “drinking bird”, (a classic with a classically staining chemical inside 🙂 ), a really cool rubber band helicopter thingy that when they say it goes up 300 feet, you better believe them, (I lost one of the two in a tree the first outing with Rockwell.. next time we will go to the church field), and THE classic, a gyroscope.

Thanks, whoever you are.. the kids (and dad) loved them.

You know, I was looking back, and I never loaded a picture on Rockwells birthday.. Here’s the cake!

Hannah broke her ankle the weekend before school started.. What a way to start off the year!

Melinda looks a bit apprehensive the first day of school.

But her teacher had a bright smile for her. She said she liked it. She even made a new friend. (So did Hannah)

Another video to add to my complaint list. This is a screen shot from “Batman and the vampire”. this video came out a couple years ago, is in the children/family section of the movie rental place, and IS UNRATED. I’m pissed. And there is nothing I can do.

My Goodness.. What Happened with the time!?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELINDA!

(two weeks ago! yikes)

Isn’t she lovely? Melinda says she wants to be a decorator, a policeman, or possibly a treasure hunter. She would be good at any of them! She is really starting to blossom.. some of the questions she comes up with, or songs or just statements really surprise me sometimes. Ill have to post one of those next time I come across one.

Happy Birthday Girl. We had her party at church. She had about 10 guests and a lot of fun.

And as you probably suspect, Hannah went to the midnight release of “Harry Potter and the deathly Hallows”
I have to say, it was about as much fun as one could have. And all attached to a book!~ How cool is that? Hannah found a friend, and they hung out most of the evening.
They were both chosen by the “sorting hat” to be in the house of RavenClaw, so they had that in common. One of the events was a trivia contest.. Hannah won a prize by knowing one of the answers. (arrg. I forget the question) If you look close, you can see Hannah’s “wand”. Traditionally, they are made out of wood, but That one is special, as I wrought it out of some of the metal from her baby crib. (so far, that makes The mounting bracket for Dav and Whitney’s wedding gift, a valentine for Kath, and the the wand all made from the “crib steel”.. I’m running out of that special metal!)

Here is a picture of one (!) of the pallets of books they opened at midnight..
Hannah had all 700 plus pages read by thursday the following week.
Lately she has been giving me books to read.. “Daddy, read this one” I’ll get 30 pages in and she is handing me another one to read.,.. Jeash kid.. let me catch up! 🙂

Sorry for the complete lack of posts. I could probably post 30 good pictures from over the last month. sorry. 🙁

Aww. loving sisters. (at least for the next few seconds)

R being a drummer. (actually, they were all being drummers yesterday.)

How low can you go? They had a CD playing that they got from Aunt Terry, I believe, That had the limbo song on it.

Melinda finally got her library card. She had been asking for it for a couple visits now.
