Melinda said she wanted to build a sailboat.. she even wrote down the “plans” on how to do it. Here is the final boat.. lust like her plans! (I wish I had a scanner, I would show you that this actually matched her drawing.) I think it was great! Dont miss the compass.. every boat needs a compass!

Im not sure the vintage of this picture, but I figured it was post worthy. Kids and dirt; they attract each other.

Rockwell rode to School for the first time! This was last Wednesday.

OK, I’ll fess up. I painted this in the middle of the night before the Tour de Georgia rode through town last Wednesday. But I did it with watered down drywall mud.. sorta like chalk. At least thats what I was going to tell the cops if they caught me! (I checked, it washes right off)

Rockwell, quarrying the playground, while the other kids wait in line for their turn. such organization!

Rockwell had a “Fudge day” where Friends, uncles, dads, and grandpas get to do field games with the kids. We had fun. Here is the group picture afterwards.

THis weekend was the “North Augusta Yellow Jasmine festival”. They Close down Georgia Avenue ( the street we live on) and there is all sorts of activities and whatnot. Here is the lions club picture of “a future North Augusta Lion”. I thought this progression of pictures was great!

Here is Dad and Rockwell together. (One of the few times dad gets in the picture, ehe? Thanks Hannah.

And Melinda makes it to the very top of the climbing wall for the first time!

OK, you might remember this from last year too, but the Jasmine festival ends with a big fireworks show… that essentially, for all practical purposes, is held in our front yard! 🙂

Click here for a cool movie of the fireworks from inside our living room. Seriously!

Saw this doggy on our way to the airport to pick up Kathi’s Mom.

The kids at the airport waiting for Grandma. The Airplane landed bout the time this picture was taken.

Mom and Grandma took the kids on a the Augusta Canal tour. The Augusta canal was made in the early 1800 to support and power the cotton ant textile industry in the area.

Here is what Melinda would have looked like had she been born 200 years earlier.. Put em’ to work!

You too Rockwell!

As most of you know, I gotta’ work the masters golf thing this time of year. Here is the most amazing part of it, IMO. The gift shop. They have a line to get in, and 13 cash registers, with a line of customers at all of them. Simply amazing. And I thought they went to see golf.

This reminded me of Hannah the last time we went to the bookstore.
Hannah: “I love going to the bookstore! I like to buy two and read one…”

Here is my first attempt at documenting a trip with geolocated pictures…
A couple of pointeres before you go there… Zoom out the Google map, and slow down the trip, or even stop it and advance forward through the pictures manually.

If you see a interesting picture, you can zoom in real tight to the google map, and look at the sattelite view to actually see the place/object on the satellite photo!
