Melindas an author

Here is a article that was in the local paper (The North Augusta Star) I thought it was quite an article! (The north Augusta Elementary mascot is a dolphin.)

Raingutter Reagatta pictures

A candid pic before we walked down to the boyscout hut so Rockwell could compete in the rain-gutter regatta. Talk about some short hair, ehe? and the haircut is two weeks old!

After all is said and done, the trophies are presented! Rockwell came in 2nd in the pack.

Some video for you.

Two videos today.

One of Melinda reciting “In Flanders field”. Friday she won an award for a poem she wrote concerning Veterans Day. She is going to have her picture in the paper again for it!

And one of Rockwell’s first “Rain-gutter Regatta” race in cub scouts. Eventually, he came in second out of the whole troop!

Melinda and Ninita in the paper

Melinda likes bringing her Chicken places. She is going to be known as the chicken girl if she is not careful. She took it to the street festival “Jack-o-lantern Jubilee” that was held just down the street from our house last weekend, and caught the eye of the papers photographer. Too bad their printing press is not registered better.. Melinda does NOT have a pudgy nose! (click on picture to make larger)

I’m on TV a lot lately.

Here is a story about baby monitors I helped the news department with.

And then there is the genealogy story.. Technically its not me.. its us. Because that picture in the monitor, and the one where he walks between the women? Is a picture of Nanny Granny and her sisters! Sorta cool, huh?

Video of genealogy story that a family picture is used in. Click here.

And then I went “undercover” to see if a traveling gold and silver place gave a fair value.

Part of me was hoping they gave a great value.

Alas, they did not.

I had a dream- “Unfettered Canvas”

It was sort of weird.. Kathi had moved into a house in the woods. It was abandoned, and grown over, but when you went inside it was beautiful, like made for a magazine, with moss in the right places and the furniture was old but had a nice wax finish. Even the outside was perfect. Grown over, but in a way that it was like out of a magazine or a place where faeries would live.  But it was clear to us that this (beautiful house) was abandoned. I remember wondering, “but what happens when the real owners figure out that this house is so nice?”

Then, I forget what happened, but somewhere along the line I had an art studio called “unfettered canvas”

What? Where did that come from? I had never heard that before in my life… Amazing that I even remember a name that came out of a dream.. Usually it’s ” dang, what was that thing in the dream?? It was a great idea/plan/name etc.”

I might have to go with that name, even though I don’t use “canvas” per-se.

Kathi is off on her adventure

She left at 6am this morning. We all saw her off at the airport.

Seems a little strange to some of you I know. But really think about it; one would regret not taking a opprotunity like this when you look back, ehe? It had to be done.

I’ll let you know what her skype address is if you want to ask her how its going.
