Riverkeeper Paddlefest!

We were gonna’ be smart and do Paddlefest with a bike theme.

Looks like fun right? haha? We have a bike on a raft behind us?

OMg, We almost died. That raft acted like the biggest anchor ever. we could not yank it though the water. we only got half way before we gave up.

Fortunatly… we had a bike with us!! I rode home, and got a vehicle, and went back and picked those guys up!! lol!! We actually got to the end before some others did!! It was SO HOT.

Ended up riding into the river. This was more fun than the rest of the trip to be honest.

We stopped below the lock and dam just to check it out. Wonder how much longer it will be there?

This building was on Knox avenue, across from Aldi. It was grown over and had a lot of stuff spread around.

Evidently had some fire along the way too.

I’m pretty sure right after this picture was taken, Amber realized there was a person living in the back bedroom..

I think it was purchased to be torn down and commercialized. It’s in a good place for that.

It’s fun rummaging though stuff though. I don’t know why.

This is such an easy and fun thing to do.. I’m sure we will do it again. And again.

(Actually, I think Hannah hammered it for him.. I think he was late to arrive, he had another activity he had to come from)

And Adam and his wife too .. We ran the Canal single track at night. It was a good run!

Did I mention I really like running?

Right before we exited. Right after a fine night of running!

Kinetic derby days in Columbia SC!

This was SO much fun. Larry and I talked about doing this for months.. the weekend before the event we had nothing to enter.. but we both had signed up! lol.. We ended up putting together a, well, file cabinet?

Workin’ it! don’t have much time!

We made it.. Even passed inspection!

Dale accompanied us.. He walked a few MILES that day.. and probably shouldn’t have.. He hurt his back.

Derby days!

Along with the race was a fair.. and you could imagine, it was quite eclectic!

Holy cow.!! We won most creative!~!

(And third place in the race ! lol.)

Trip to Clemson for Diving

Rockwell, mid dive. I dont have the result sheet anymore. He had a couple really good dives, and a couple eh dives. they average.

Skitrip 2017 Sugar Mountain.

We went skiing at Sugar mountan NC. It was a lot of fun (other than the rental hassle). But.. I did not get any real photos on the slopes! Oh wel.. we did get a couple pics.. like this one at the resturant…

And this one Paul took of us at the top of the mountain. I missed Hannah because she went to the top with Rockwell and Paul before this trip up.

Here was the morning before we left.. got a little snow! It really was beutiful.

Skating at the commons in Augusta

It was a small rink, but it’s fun.

Not that the kids are pro’s at skating, but it is just a little funny watching all the southerners that have never been on skates trying it for the first time.

They stayed on the ice for two hours.

This is a picture that Rockwell CREATED.. He received a graphics tablet as a Christmas present from Hannah. I’m pretty sure this is the first thing he created with it.

Larry Hicks and I went running in the cold rain at FATS.. did 7 miles, (bigrock/tower) and enjoyed a beer in the dark afterward. It’s funny how little things like this are awesome in the moment.
