First Pictures from our whirlwind trip to the north to visit My Dad in Hospital. He Broke his hip and now has pneumonia. He is 100% with it psychologically, but His physical health is fading fast. My Prayers and thoughts are with You Dad. I love you.

I really need to post. Not having a camera is a poor excuse not to.
In the last couple weeks, H received a coupon for some icecream for being one of 5 students in her class to have straight “A”s. We went to the N A “night to remember” 100th anniversary Kick off program (this year is our little towns 100th Anniversary… With all sorts of things planned for the year.
I just purchased a new camera. It’s a Kodak V550. Two things that sold me… It has 30FPS (frames per sec) video.. (like VHS quality) and you can zoom while your using it. Its also got other fancy things that I probably wont use.. But I really got used to using my camera to shoot video with.. No more camcorder for me. That’s it for now.. I wont keep you waiting this long for me to post next time.. Sorry! 🙂

Still no camera, So I’ll post more of Whit and DAV’s visit… Here are Whit and M at the playground we went to on the day we went geocacheing.

One of the reasons I think we like visitors so much, is it gives us an excuse to go out and eat! Here we are at Theresa’s Mexican restaurant… mmmMmm Good!

Here we are, at the stroke of midnight. David timed the camera to click right on the hour. Of course, since we had a leap second this year, I’m not sure if he took a picture of the last second of 2005, or the first second of 2006…

Here is the drum of Mother’s banjo-ukelele. She received the training book and CD in the mail.. And the banjo uke is on the way to her. I had it fixed. They fixed the tuning pegs, an replaced the bridge and strings. I betcha she learns how to play more than “my-dog-has-fleas”

“Vande” and I (“imnot”) placed our first cache. its hidden in a tree in an ammo box. It has some lottery tickets in it, and some other little treasures.

Mom asked for her BanjoUkelele back, she wants to learn how to play it! I gave it to David to bring back up to her. In the mean time, I ordered a “how to play the ukelele” book and CD/DVD off of eBay for her. She should get that any day.
I also had Nannie’s Banjo Ukelele. Written in faded pencil, just barely visible, (I traced it with the computer) it says “from my sweetheart xmas 1926”

Here is our first GeoCache! (Dave and Whit. Are old hands at it already) It was a mall (microcache) attached by magnet to the guardrail at a walmart… Its been there for over a year, and has been visited a bunch of times. It’s called “the view”

Here are the Geocachers near the second find of the day… Its was fun. We even made and placed one ourselves. More to come.
