We got a special package in the mail today.. (Thanks Verna!) A couple oldtyme toys and a loop potholder kit. H was very proud of making this. So proud that she went to bed clutching it (smile).. I only helped a little bit. (the first few weaves, and the first few loops in the edge) I guess I should have listened to her when she said she closed her eyes.. She looks a little loopy in the picture. Sorry H.
Here is a funny picture of all the kids that were over today. Seth is being a goofball on the floor. And the rest are just watching.

Here are Coke machine #2 and #3. I’m bummed…. Machine #2 is going away, because my barber just retired (I lose the coke machine AND my barber.)
Machine #3 is at the Pink dipper, a local soda fountain. (Notice the vintage high chair… Its not there because its cool, it’s there because North Augusta is Cool! In some places, NA is lost in the 50’s.)
Here is machine #2 at the barber shop.. Its not actually broken, its just going away.. 🙁

We had the Easter egg hunt at the Shealy plantation yesterday. A funny looking bunny rabbit visited us…
Arthur fired up his icecream machine. R had a ball eating a cone.
Here is a nice pic of sister and brother before we left for Church this morning.
H is in the youth choir. The children look so angelic in their robes.

OK, again, I think I have the spyware licked. I had to edit the heck out of my registry, but hey, its war.
Here is a nice pic of M on St. Patrick’s day at School. She was one of the few wearing green? Go figure.
The girls made a fort and put this sign in front of it. Exclusive club!
Funny Pic of R.
Will the real Mr. Potato head please stand up. This was a project by H.
The kids got some Easter chocolate bunnies from their Grandma K. They can devour chocolate, that’s for sure.

I recorded H reading the other day. I really like the way she reads. You could say its with expression.. click here to hear H read.
Also, the other day the girls made a “fort” and made a sign that said “no boys allowed.. Except for R.. And no babies, except for R and Emma”
I thought cousin Luke and Tammy would appreciate that… 🙂
picture here, as soon as I load it.
I have had a devil of a time getting rid of viruses and spyware on my computer!!
I used Semantic Antivirus, Ad aware, Spybot, and “hijack this” trying to get rid of it, and I still couldn’t!! I think the most exasperating was when the software would find it, but not remove it! I ended up having to edit the registry (something you want to avoid doing if you can help it) and download spysweeper to finish it off. It seems like I got it cleared now.
Now all I have to do is reload my camera software.. It seems I disabled it trying to get rid of the spyware.

I guess this is R’s week. It’s nice to see him interested in books, even if all he is probably doing is copying his sisters… He really was checking it out.
And here is the BIG milestone: R did both 1 and 2 on the potty! He did it- He did it- He did it- hooray! No diapers in the house is in sight.
And H was the student of the day today.. Yea for H!

Here is an indication of just how much of a mayberry type town we live in…
There are THREE stores with walking distance of our house that still have glass bottle coke machines. Here is place number one, Wall hardware.
I love this place!

Wow.. Its been a while… Do a blog for a year and think I deserve a vacation or something? Back to work!
We had dinner at church tonight.. The youth choir performed.. But I’m afraid R stole the show. You HAVE to see this movie.. It’s hilarious!
This afternoon H went skating Here is a video of that. She started out where she couldn’t even stand on the skates.. It took 20 minutes to get around the first time… By the time she had gone around about 6 times, she was really doing quite well. She was tenacious, I’ll tell you that! She would fall and get right back up. No complaining here.
Check out this cool “skate” .. Its on a modified VW chassis.
As far as what we’ve been doing over the last couple weeks.. I made cotton candy for H’s class at her school carnival 350 cones in 3.5 hours this weekend. (that’s more than a cone a minute!) And the garage has kept me busy of course.
Last weekend, I took H to the Science Center as a reward for making the 300 book club at school, and for making 15 points on the accelerated reading program all in one day. [parental boast mode] For perspective, only one other child in her class has made the 200 book club, and no other child has made 10 points in the accelerated reading program. I can’t help but boast, I feel so proud. And M is starting to show promise too… She loves to read now, and has an imagination that is boundless. I love M’s creativity.
Anyway, here is a pic of H at the Tesla coil.. Notice that $5 bill in the corner? It stayed there… We lost it, and only “found” it when we were looing at the pictures we took..
And hey, how about this beauty? I couldn’t go big footage, so I went up… It has a 12 foot ceiling! woo hoo!

Been busy.
I’m putting up a garage!
I couldn’t go big, so decided to go tall. Its 20′ by 20′, but its 12′ feet tall on the inside! I have all sorts of plans for the headroom.
K is watching a neighbor girl that is about M’s age. K has the day all organized with a lesson plan and everything.
I don’t know what else to say… I guess I’m going through a dry spell. I just wanted to mention I have not forgotten about yall.
Pictures to come.
