“Luke” is Melinda’s 1969 Ford F-100. Fully Manual.
Its not easy. But she has been practicing a few months now, and she is really getting a hold of it. I can tell you there are few teenagers that could handle this truck. It’s a handful. I’m impressed. <3
Watching Melinda receiver her letter, and the important people addressing the small crowd, You really get a sense of the seriousness of the occasion. I was impressed!
All of the people on the left are the teachers in their hoods and caps, the people in front are the senior students. You get an idea of the teacher student ratio!
And here is Melinda with her Roommate! I am proud of both of them.
This is the day where we get to visit all of Melinda’s classes and teachers. I did that, but we ended up having more fun in art class than anywhere else.
The teacher had us all work with clay. And that teacher had taught this process across the world (literally), so she had the process down. It was pretty funny listening to her actually.
In the process!
Some of the art Melinda was working on. I recognized them right away. The “Melinda with cheerios” picture from 2002, and Rockwell in the parkinglot with the Iguana 2013(?)
Kathi had a party for Rockwell at the river (In the Pavilion)
We had fun riding bikes into the river. I tried it, and Rockwell tried it.Â
I think one other friend of Rockwell’s tried it. I was surprised all the others did not want to though.
We had fun all the same. Actually, it was a little too boisterous.. One boy fell out of a tree and broke his leg, and we had a storm roll though that blew everything around like crazy.
Melinda and Rockwell and I took a bike ride at the canal single track. I’ve ridden with a lot of folks, both of them ride better and more competently than they realize.
Hanging out under the Riverwatch bridge at the canal.
