Because of the carelessness of her father, Melinda got splashed with hot water, and suffered a burn on her shoulder.
She is at doctors hospital today, getting surgury on it. (!)

Poor girl. She is a trooper though.
I love you Melinda. I’m sorry.

Here is a nice picture that Hannah brought back with her from her trip to Wisconsin. I don’t know the story behind it. But I certainly like it! They visited “raging waters” water park, and they also visited “old world Wisconsin”
It’s likely from one of those two places.

She sent me a message saying “I love your kinderspielhaus“
I said… whaat? And promptly looked that word up. Of course, it is what you think it is..
But what was really neat was that I looked it up in Google pictures..
and got lots of ideas for decoration!
But.. Here it is so far:

We have been building a playhouse.. Rather than working on the real house. I figured the house could wait a bit, the kids are not going to be young forever. Gotta get the playhouse out of the way. Its a good thing I guess.. the wood i was saving was starting to get eaten, and some of it was going bad (rotten) even though I had it covered up. (I didn’t use those pieces..)
Melinda and Rockwell are really measuring and marking these boards for me.. they had to be 7 feet long. They did it!

Here it is so far! It will look nice with the trim.

As some of you might have known, Melinda and Hannah took a road trip with the Grandpa Bob to Wisconsin. They stopped the say hello to Grandma Elser…

and Aunt Stephanie too… I wonder what the story behind Melinda’s goofy grin is.

And Here is a nice picture of the two grandparents. I bet Melinda took this picture.

And of the whole rest of the trip.. this is just about the only other picture that turned out ok.. Hannah and Ethan, The newest cousin on Kathi’s side. This is Kathi’s sister Christine’s First Child. Cute!

This weekend, Rockwell and I went to visit Arthur. Whenever we go there, we are sure to be in for a treat. In this case, it started out with bread. Not just any bread.. Homemade bread..

And not to be outdone, Arthur ground the flour himself. This is a cool little tool. a small flour mill!

And, to top it off, a cream cheese that Arthur ALSO made.. And it received Rockwell’s seal of approval.. He asked for seconds!

I think Arthur has figured out that you grow a bunch of fruit, you attract kids like flies.. And then he has guest (parents) to talk to. Hey, It works for me! (I would visit Arthur anyway, but I digress) This is a itty bitty watermelon, that was on a vine that must have been damaged. We didn’t think it was going to be any good.. But it turned out to be just fine. Who knew. Its like a lunchbox size watermelon!

And before we left, we had to visit the Fig tree.. Man these things are good. I cant believe I had to wait til’ I was almost 40 to experience them right off the tree. 10 seconds after this picture, this one was in Rockwell’s stomach! And that was not all.. we also had a couple Pears before we left.. But I did not get any pictures of those.
