We went to the 41st anniversary of the snocap drive in and there was a photographer from the newspaper there. Anyway. He took a picture to use in the paper, and sent us a copy in email.

I should have included a couple pictures from our vacation to the beach this summer. Better late than never, I suppose.
Here is K’s immediate family. HanMelRoc are going to have many cousins on both sides of the family…

H is ready to rock! It almost seems like she gets it right off the bat. Too bad uncle Paul’s bass is for sale, with an amp, on ebay soon.

R saw that I had a scrape on my leg and wanted to help make it feel better. It certainly worked!

We went to the beach for the last time this year. I can believe how warm the ocean is. Weird. I wish I had a thermometer (AND my camera, which I forgot this trip..Oops) so I could show y’all.

H and her friend Cameron ate breakfast for the first time at school this year. The free food program must not have started yet… They had the whole place to themselves!

Here are the boys making Ice Cream in Arthur’s garage. He invited the kids over to be the taste testers.

Strawberry Icecream! Yummy! They gave their seal of approval to the product.

And, to assist getting rid of a little of the Icecream energy, Arthur chased them in the power chair… He has a switch for “overdrive”- that thing can get dangerously fast.

OK, cellphone pictures of CRT’s with bullet holes in them are very welcome, but I have to put my foot down when it comes to cats.

Its all ’bout urban coops! Fun.

My sis in law has been sending me pictures of coops she has come across in Switzerland… From what I can tell, its pretty common to have chickens in your yard.

Here is an interesting one.. This Chicken is called a “silkie”. Its a bantam breed with a defect that causes it not to have the little barbs on the feathers that causes the feathers to stick together. So, it ends up resembling fur instead.

I ‘gotta finish my garage first.

H and M received a gift from their cousin Chris and Camryn from Wisconsin… A “toy” video camera with a wireless transmitter so you can see it on the teevee. It actually works.. (I tried taking a pic of myself on teevee.. It didn’t really work, but was silly enough to post anyway)
So, anyway, M and H invented a new game… One of them hide the wireless camera, and then the other tries to figure out where it is hid by looking at the picture on the teevee… It was really fun! And much easier for an old man like myself to play 🙂

Oh, AND, there was a mystery gift delivered to M in the mail. It was a big orange bat that had the postage and address written on the side (of the bat)…. But then was neatly wrapped in a cardboard box and brown wrapping paper, I assume by the post office. Why? Because there was a note inside saying that a part fell off the “package” and they had to “repair the package”.

However, we have not identified the mystery gift giver. That has not stopped the kids from playing with it, of course… Anyone want to come forward??

M, this morning:

M: Dad, you know what I’m going to buy with my money?
Me: No, what will you buy honey?
M: A half a pizza, and a motorcycle. But it has to have one of those things (making the motion of a kick start)
Me: A kick start? The thing I have to jump on to start my motorcycle?
M: Yah!

Jeez these guys must have nothing else to do.

There is something I wanted to post, but I forget…Oh! H started second grade today! As tigger says, TTFN.

I have to give a hand to K… She has really been active in the church youth committee. She and Chalice head the parents night out program, and they really work to make that run. Putting together activities for the other volunteers to do in the classrooms each Friday is not easy. I’m just glad she is interested in being involved in that. Our kids are quite lucky in that sense. pat pat–>K’s back.

M likes blocks lately.. She is quite the architect. If only she would do a better job picking them up..

Remember that goo you would put on the end of a straw that you could make your own balloons out of? They still make it.

H attended a soccer camp this week. Only afterward did I find out there was a science camp this week too. We missed it… Bummer.
