kathi has really been trying to feed the kids healthy food. Staying away from sugar is hard..
Something I have been trying: I have been riding my bike to the grocery store lately.. I thought it might be good excersize, but as it turns out, it is really not… because the store is only a half mile away. But what a fringe benefit that i did not expect is: I am choosing healthier food while im in the store, knowing I rode the bike there.
Another interesting fact.. you can really carry a serious amount of groceries in two paper bags.

So, we kept hearing about “aquaduct park” and how it was almost a impromptu landfill in the 80’s, and some people got together and cleaned it up.
It is a honest to goodness “swimming hole”. We had never been, and decided to check it out. We will certainly be back!
Wow. Another amazing thing, within a bicycle ride from our house. This place is cool! Interestingly, its walking distance from down town Augusta, but I don’t think people really know what is there. Its almost like you walk onto 1920 when you go there.

I got a Nannyrama.. The aqua-duct is on the left.. It goes under the Augusta canal.

Here was a typical day at the beach. There were a few hiccups, but overall, we had a good time.
The kids were up to no good sometimes, with the help of the adults of course.

On the way home, we managed to stop and say Hello To Nanny and Gramp.
And we stopped by my sis and B-I-Ls for dinner. With a bonus of getting to eat with my mom. My sister Verna admonished my mom for going up and down their staircase. With socks on too. If you saw how steep they are, you would know why.
Melinda got a skateboard for her birthday.
Rockwell already had one from Christmas, so he is currently the “pro” in the family.. but Melinda seems to be a quick study so far.
