I was going to surprise you with some Christmas pictures.. Taken with the old Sony camera… But the super-disk drive in my computer decided it didn’t want to read the disk from the camera anymores….
I guess it wasn’t meant to be!

Here is a little angel watching over the baby Jesus.. The funny part? K knew she was going to have a problem keeping R from trying to go up there.. So she put the costume on him just for that reason. Sure enough, he joined the Christmas musical as a “walk on”. He just sat there and watched. No one was any the wiser.. Actually, they probably thought “How did they get that kid to stand still and watch!?!”

M’s pageant was a couple nights before on Thursday.. She was a Shepard. The day before she said she didn’t want to go on stage, but when the time came, she did a great job!

This picture is the singing part of H’s pageant. They sang a bunch of the standards. Here is part of a new one though… I had to take this video from the practice session. K was busy holding on to kids during the performance, and I was running the audio. H had a speaking part too! She had to quote Luke 2,10-12 ( click on the links for QuickTime movies of the song and the quote)
She says it with pretty good authority, doesn’t she? H is one of those kids that drive parents crazy because you think they’re not paying attention, and you think perhaps they might not do too well, and then they pull it of stunningly. She was obviously paying attention, it just didn’t look like it.

Christmas time in SC is here again.. That means the Christmas parade!

Here it is coming down the street right out in front of the house. I heard it was really nice this year. I wouldn’t know, I had to work the broadcast of the Evans Ga. Parade again. (Sometimes referred to as the “redneck Christmas parade”)

Just one more piece of parade candy? I have only had…. um, I lost count….

I know its mean, but I gotta’ mention it was 70 and sunny out.

The church right next door to us has an elaborate “return to Bethlehem” pageant every year. It’s the “drive through” style, but everyone walks.. It was really impressive.. I wish I could have taken better pictures, sorry.

This would have been a amazing picture of the manger scene.. Had I not cut Baby Jesus out of the picture… D’oh!

Here is Santa (known in our house as “ho ho”) coming in off the Firetruck. It seems Santa uses firetrucks to get around in the south… He is always on the last one in the Christmas parades around her…)

And here is a great movie *about 2.5Mb quicktime* of Santa asking them all what they want for Christmas. I like how Santa asks them if they have been good, and H replies “I don’t know..” And looks at me. (They have been very good)

Santa also answered H’s letter that she sent to the north pole! (Actually, Santa was a bit busy, so an elf responded..)

This is what we use to keep warm in the living room.. I know it’s sorta’ dangerous, but the kids do a great job of staying away from it.

Well, I still have not extracted the wonderful pictures hidden in the depths of the camera.. But I have scanned a picture of M. Here is her Class picture (4K)
She is going to be interesting when she grows up, I just know it.. HOW is the question!

Now, back to trying to extract those pictures!

I have nothing but praise for the Kodak cameras.. And I have nothing but disdain for their software! Sometime I will be able to load all the great pictures I have taken over the last week or so..But not with the Kodak software, that’s for sure. I will wrestle with it no more.

Until then, hold on.. Updates are coming! Including the Christmas parade, the “return to Bethlehem” and others! Stay tuned!

Boy! You don’t agree to buy a couple pictures, and they abuse your kid!

(just joking, I modified it.) The thing she had to hold DID have something to do with not buying pictures, but I think it was a placeholder to keep track of all the kids in the class photo. It said “student service print only” before I “fixed” it.
