I guess this could be called an extention of Artday. Art day 2? Return of artday?
If only I could send a smell over the internet, this glass bottle of fingerpaint would send anyone 35 and over straight back to kindergarten. Absolutely amazing, the power of the sense of smell. I have not smelled that smell in 35 years.

It says non toxic.. I sure hope so. Melinda, that’s FINGERpaint, not BODYpaint.

Just in case you were wondering where all the paint was going.

Kathi really likes good chocolate. On occasion, she talks her sister Teri in Europe into sending her some. This time it happened to coincide with a time I happened to buy Kath some Lindt 70% cocoa dark chocolate. Now lindt is considered some of the better average chocolate available in the US, and normally well received.. But I gotta’ say, the stuff that Teri sent over just blew it’s doors off. When you compare them side by side, there is just no comparison, Especially in the texture. Its like velvet. The European chocolate is terrific. And rumor has it, the stuff Teri sent was just regular average chocolate. Wow.

Today is Art Day! Here are some pictures that The kids made.

Man, this looks like he is going for the gold.. But they were having fun, that’s for sure. Careful R, the water is only 10 inches deep! He didn’t care. No one got hurt filming this action…

A frog on a lilly pad. In our pond. I wish the lilly pad plants would flower like my sister steph’s. I guess Ill settle for the frog.

The kids get a gift in the mail (from Grandma Terri.) And they play with… The packing material.
They liked the gifts too, of course.

We went and saw “E.T. The Extra terrestrial” on a park the other day. The kids were able to play, and then settle down for the movie. It was fun.. Except for the language! What the? It was unnecessary, and brought nothing to the movie. Rumor has it that the movie was originally filmed wit the guys at the beginning holding Rifles, not flashlights. I’ll have to check on that. Sounds a little too urban legendish for me.

This week, the snowcap had a get together.. Actually, they were filming a special on Drive-In’s, So I figured I’d drive the ford over. It’s the 3rd one back on the right.

OK, So my sister Verna gets the prize for best timed birthday present.
Rockwell was watching a video “Joe Tonka” a cartoon about, what else, Tonka trucks.

It was his 5th (at least) time watching it, when the mailman arrives.. “Hey Rockwell, looks like you got a present from your aunt Verna! Not sure how it happened, but he got to open it a bit early… What I do know is that when he saw it let out a scream.
It was a Tonka truck.

He has not let go of it since.

Pictures from H’s party.. They went to “jumpin beans”, a place that has a bunch of inflatable, but inside. From what I hear, they had a lot of fun. Here is H with a couple of friends.

This is the first year I planted Carrots OR potatoes… How the potatoes grow was pretty amazing.. I have never seen them come out of the ground before. I didn’t realize they were so numerous and easy to dig up.
